The Industrial Design Society of America is once again celebrating the fantastic design work being done by the industrial design community in Northeast Ohio. This will be an opportunity for the Cleveland design community to share their work and accomplishments with each other and get inspired. We're excited for the chance to see everyone again and for great networking opportunities. The event will be held at Smartshape Design's great downtown office, and we will be showing off some of the products we’ve designed over the past few years, and speaking about our company and process.
Combating Pollution with the Clean Earth Bag
We recently developed the Clean Earth Bag for a startup company Fish Gods. The product is a plastic pollution solution for lakes and rivers.
You can use it in almost any application to pickup trash created by you or others such as fishing line. Key features: Reusable, durable, wearable, attachable, drainable, and collapsible.
It was fully backed and funded both on Kickstarter and Indiegogo this past year. It is now for sale and shipping @ fishgods.co
Global Pet Expo
Every March, the Global Pet Expo takes place in Orlando and showcases thousands of new and innovate pet brands and products. We were happy to see a few of our own designs from this past year developed into physical products and displayed at the show!
Also, it was great to see a heavy focus on interactive and eco-friendly dog products that are designed to fit a modern aesthetic and provide potential buzz-worthy moments. A few noteworthy innovations we liked were dissolvable stuffing to keep your pups safe once they inevitably destroy their toy, and toys with squeakers that can only be heard by dogs!
